About Dr. Stephen Fedec

Dr. Stephen Fedec, a board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiologist with extensive clinical experience, diagnoses and treats acute and chronic cardiovascular diseases and congenital heart conditions. Dr. Fedec see patients in both the Beaufort and Okatie Heart Specialists practice offices as well as performing catheter-based procedures, including angioplasty and stenting, at the Beaufort Memorial Cochrane Heart Center. came to Beaufort Memorial Heart Specialists in fall 2020 from Heart and Vascular Care in Johns Creek, Georgia. At the Lowcountry practice he treats patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions in both its Beaufort and Okatie offices.

Background
The Pennsylvania native began his medical career as an internal medicine specialist, gradually developing an interest in performing procedures that led him to cardiology. Dr. Fedec served as the medical director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory and a fellowship trainer in interventional cardiology at Community Medical Center in Toms River, New Jersey, where he also owned his own cardiology practice for 12 years. He was in private practice in Southwest Florida for a decade before relocating to the Atlanta metro area. In 2020, Dr. Fedec joined Beaufort Memorial Heart Specialists.
He and his wife, Teresa, have a son and a daughter. In his leisure time, Dr. Fedec, a licensed pilot, enjoys flying as well as triathlon training and competition, reading and spending time with his family.
