About Ms. Stephanie Lovato

Stephanie Lovato, a board-certified physician assistant, came to Palmetto Medical Group in 2012 following four years of practice at a local primary and urgent care clinic.
At the Beaufort Memorial Physician Partners practice she specializes in primary health care, including prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses in adults and children 10 and older. Her professional interests center around prevention and “whole body” wellness, with additional interests in sports medicine and geriatric medicine.
Background
Early in her career, Ms. Lovato worked in a dual primary care/urgent care practice in neighboring Hilton Head Island. In this setting she managed a vast array of acute medical conditions, developed a base of procedural skills, and performed occupational exams for the U.S. Coast Guard.
A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Ms. Lovato has called the Lowcountry her home since 1991. Before the birth of her daughter Zoe, she was an active participant in Hilton Head Island’s running and triathlon community. These days, she and her family spend their free time traveling and exploring, introducing Zoe to the rich diversity of cultures around the world.
