About Dr. Roger Ulrich
"Medicine is a great way to develop relationships and serve others in a field that I find particularly enjoyable. I hope to be a blessing in serving my community in this way."
Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Roger Ulrich, came to Beaufort Memorial Bluffton Primary Care from medical residency in 2012. At the practice he specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness in adults.
Background
Born in Jordan and educated in Germany, he brings a unique knowledge of the world in all its diversity to the Lowcountry. His parents were medical missionaries and, for a time, he considered following their lead, traveling to Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Niger and Peru as a mission volunteer. Ultimately he concluded the work was not his calling, and after having lived in so many different places, he's delighted to have laid down roots in Bluffton.
Dr. Ulrich enjoys international culture and languages, having grown up speaking Arabic and German. Since settling in the Lowcountry, he has shifted his focus to Spanish. He and his wife, Lauren, also enjoy beach and sporting activities with their two sons, Carter and Miles.
