About Ms. Jennifer Stokes

A board-certified family nurse practitioner, Jennifer Stokes joined Palmetto Medical Group in 2019, bringing to adult patients at the Beaufort Memorial Physician Partners practice experience not only in primary care, but also in emergency, cardiac-stepdown and medical-surgical nursing.
In preventing, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illness in adults and children 10 years old and above, Ms. Stokes strives to combine a holistic approach with evidence-based standards of care. Among her professional interests are prevention and wellness and sports medicine.
Background
Growing up in a military family Ms. Stokes lived all over the United States. In 2000 she put down roots in the Lowcountry, where her first job as a registered nurse was at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. She worked in a local emergency department until 2011, then took a nurse manager position with the Department of Veteran Affairs.
In her leisure time, Ms. Stokes most enjoys spending time with her son, Riley. She stays active in her community, volunteering for school and sports programs, and with her large extended family nearby, she’s frequently found near a football field, a baseball diamond or a gymnasium rooting for the family’s young athletes.
