As a Beaufort Memorial Express Care provider, Amy Taylor treats serious illnesses and injuries that aren’t considered life- or limb-threatening for adults and children of all ages.

A board-certified family nurse practitioner, she examines and treats patients for a variety of minor ailments, orders on-site imaging and lab testing, and prescribes medications and treatments. If necessary, Mrs. Taylor will refer the patient to a medical specialist for continuing or more extensive care.

If a patient has a new patient appointment scheduled with a Beaufort Memorial primary care provider and needs medication refills prior to their appointment, Mrs. Taylor will be happy to perform medication checks and provide a stop-gap prescription.

She can also perform physicals for employment or for sports, school and camp requirements.

Background

Mrs. Taylor joined the Beaufort Memorial team in 2019. Previously, she worked as a nurse practitioner at several health care settings in the Beaufort area, assessing, diagnosing, educating and treating patients of all ages with a wide range of minor illnesses and injuries. Her fluency in Spanish has been helpful to many of her patients over the years.

Mrs. Taylor includes among her professional interests treating pediatric patients and performing procedures.

The Maryland native and her husband, Joe, an English teacher at Beaufort High School, have two sons and a daughter. She loves spending time with her grandchildren, birding, the beach and travel. Thanks to a birthday present from one of her sons, she is learning to fly.
