About Mrs. Amy Morrissette
"My passion is caring for others. I believe that treating patients with kindness and understanding are critical components to their overall well-being."
As a Beaufort Memorial Express Care provider, Amy Morrissette treats serious illnesses and injuries that aren’t considered life- or limb-threatening for adults and children of all ages.
A board-certified family nurse practitioner, she examines and treats patients for a variety of minor ailments, orders on-site imaging and lab testing, and prescribes medications and treatments. If necessary, Mrs. Morrissette will refer the patient to a medical specialist for continuing or more extensive care.
If a patient has a new patient appointment scheduled with a Beaufort Memorial primary care provider and needs medication refills prior to their appointment, Mrs. Morrissette will be happy to perform medication checks and provide a stop-gap prescription.
She can also perform physicals for employment or for sports, school, and camp requirements.
Background
Originally from Boston, Mrs. Morrissette worked as a float nurse in a large hospital in Massachusetts, caring for patients with a variety of serious illnesses.
Prior to joining Beaufort Memorial Express Care, she worked as a school nurse in the Lowcountry and enjoyed helping adolescents.
She and her husband Rich have a son, Andrew, and love traveling, going to the beach and spending time with their pets (a cat, Bo, and a dog, Nacho).
