Areas of Expertise
- General Surgery - A branch of surgery that treats the abdomen, breast, head and neck, blood vessels and digestive tract.
- Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery - Also called minimally invasive surgery, a type of advanced open surgery in which small incisions are made in the skin of the abdomen to facilitate insertion of instruments.
- Robotic Surgery - A type of minimally invasive surgery that uses robotic arms controlled by a surgeon to insert tiny surgical instruments into a patient’s body, permitting maximum precision and range of motion.
- Gallbladder Removal - A common surgical procedure performed to treat gallstones and gallbladder disease (this procedure is also called a cholecystectomy).
- Hernia Repair - A surgical operation to correct a hernia, which is a protruding of internal organs or tissues through the wall that contains them. Hernias are described by where they occur; common types are inguinal, femoral, umbilical, incisional, epigastric and hiatal.

Paula Davis' breast cancer experience began when she felt a lump and made an appointment with her nurse practitioner. Her treatment plan included chemotherapy, a lumpectomy and radiation. Savi SCOUT, an advanced breast lesion localization and surgical guidance system, gave her surgeon better control of where to make the surgical incision and produce a better cosmetic outcome.
