Beaufort Memorial, the Town of Hilton Head Island and the Hilton Head Island & Bluffton Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated two major milestones in the expansion of primary care access on the island.

Now serving patients at 100 Exchange Street, Suite 200, are Marshview Primary Care, which relocated from Bluffton this fall, and a second location for Beaufort Memorial Concierge Care.

“We hear time and time again that the Lowcountry needs more primary care options,” said Beaufort Memorial President and CEO Russell Baxley at the Oct. 15 ribbon cutting. “We couldn’t be more excited to expand our presence on Hilton Head Island and increase access to high-quality care for residents.”

At Marshview Primary Care, board-certified family medicine physician Dr. Nikki Keisler and physician assistant Stephanie Lovato, PA-C, provide comprehensive primary care services. Family medicine physician Dr. Christopher Opella sees patients through the Beaufort Memorial concierge medicine program, which offers a more direct and personalized approach to care.

Baxley added that the opening of these two Hilton Head Island practices is part of the health system’s commitment to expanding healthcare services across the region. Beaufort Memorial is preparing to open its new Emergency & Urgent Care facility on William Hilton Parkway – the southern end of Hilton Head Island – in January, followed by the opening of the Bluffton Community Hospital in early 2027.

“These projects represent a significant investment in the health and well-being of our community and in particular, our communities in the southern part of the county,” Baxley said. “Together, they’ll make it easier for residents and visitors both to access the care they need, closer to home.”

Hilton Head Island Mayor Alan Perry highlighted the value of two new primary care options for island residents, emphasizing the need for additional healthcare services.

“Primary care access in our community has been a challenge for a long time, and Beaufort Memorial is helping meet that need,” Perry said. “These new practices, along with the upcoming Emergency & Urgent Care, demonstrate what can happen when partnerships make these conversations a reality, creating a better community and healthcare system for everyone.”

To Baxley, Perry added, “The Town is very happy you’re here, and we wish you nothing but great success.”

A New Model of Care

Beaufort Memorial Concierge Care now has two locations, one on Hilton Head Island – led by Dr. Opella – and the other at 300 New River Parkway, Suite 16 in Hardeeville, led by Dr. James Frost, with another board-certified provider scheduled to join the practice in December.

Concierge Care is a membership-based model allowing patients to receive more customized services, including same day or next day appointments when needed, flexible scheduling, direct, 24/7 access to communication with a provider via phone, email or text and streamlined care coordination.
