Board-Certified Physician Assistant Kara White, PA-C, Joins Orthopaedic Specialists
January 26, 2026
Beaufort Memorial has expanded access to orthopedic care with the addition of board-certified physician assistant Kara White, PA-C, who joined Beaufort Memorial Orthopaedic Specialists in Fall 2025. She sees patients at the practice’s Port Royal and Okatie locations.
“With orthopedic care being such a need in this community, Ms. White plays a vital role on the team here at Beaufort Memorial,” said Beaufort Memorial President and CEO Russell Baxley. “Her passion for building relationships with patients and her commitment to compassionate care make her a valuable asset to the practice.”
Commitment to Community
The Georgia native grew up with close ties to the medical field; her mother was a physician and the emergency room director for a hospital in a medically underserved community.
In that community, White developed a passion for the human body and helping others.
She graduated with a Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from South College Atlanta in December 2024, drawn to the role after receiving training under a PA and witnessing the meaningful connections PAs can build with their patients.
“I want to build those personal connections with my patients,” White said, “I want them to feel fully seen and understood, trusting me with their care.”
Focus on Orthopedic Care and Recovery
White said she enjoys orthopedics because it’s a specialty that allows her to help patients get their active lives back after age-related pain or an injury – an interest fueled by her background in athletics.
She will treat patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions, in addition to providing pre- and post-operative care before and after their surgeries to help facilitate their return to the activities they love.
