A Whole-Person Approach

Before becoming a physician, Dr. DiMaria began his healthcare career as a pharmacist, an experience that shaped his holistic understanding of patient care.
He later earned his degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, making a mid-career transition to medicine to build deeper, more meaningful relationships with patients.
He brings to Beaufort extensive clinical, academic and leadership experience, having practiced primarily in New York across diverse healthcare settings. Dr. DiMaria is excited to serve the Lowcountry community and deliver care focused on long-term health and wellness.
“I take the time to get to know my patients and work with them to develop a care plan that fits their individual needs,” Dr. DiMaria said. “By combining allopathic medicine with wellness-based therapies, we can better support long-term health.”
Dr. DiMaria lives in Beaufort with his husband Jeremy, his daughter Bella and their dog Max. Outside of medicine, he calls himself a “thrill-seeker,” and he enjoys art, history and cooking nutritious meals for his family.
At Lowcountry Medical Group Primary Care, Dr. DiMaria diagnoses and treats a wide range of chronic conditions and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team.
