"We couldn't ask for anything more for our children."

"I was born and raised in Beaufort. This is home. Whenever people ask you what Beaufort means, it’s hard to describe. I feel like it’s something in your heart. Kind of like the saltwater.

“I can’t imagine a world without the river right there. Sometimes, if I’ve had a bad day at work, I’ll detour on the way home and stop along the bluff in Beaufort. It's my stress relief."

Serving Generations of Families

“I have lots of memories inside Beaufort Memorial as a little girl. I remember my sister being born there and I spent Hurricane Hugo there. It’s been fun to watch it grow.

“With our older son, Carter, we weren’t totally planning to have him when we did, but we were ready. Having him was such a relaxing experience.

"With Gibson, we definitely knew what we were getting into and we were very nervous. Then, my doctor went to a group at another hospital. It took about two seconds to decide that I was not driving an hour away to deliver my baby.

“Which was good because Gibson came fast! The nurses were fantastic. They did not skip a beat. Beaufort Memorial brought on a rock star team of doctors, too. I absolutely love every single one of those physicians."

Living Well

“It’s wonderful the first time you become a parent, but the second time it’s even better. Becoming a parent made me appreciate our home even more. I know it’s a wonderful place to grow up.

“We love the river and it helps us connect as a family. I pray our sons will feel that same way when they are men and starting their own lives and families.

"It all comes full circle.”
