Beaufort Memorial partners with Greater Bluffton Chamber of Commerce to offer new, members-only benefits

Beaufort Memorial has partnered with the Greater Bluffton Chamber of Commerce to support small businesses with a members-only wellness initiative tailored to the community’s small businesses.

The Greater Bluffton Chamber is now offering member-exclusive benefits through a collaboration between Beaufort Memorial and BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. This innovative partnership expands affordable, quality healthcare through the Beaufort Memorial network to the small businesses supported by the Greater Bluffton Chamber.

“As a community health system, Beaufort Memorial is invested in more than just delivering healthcare,” said Beaufort Memorial President and CEO Russell Baxley. “We are invested in the long-term health and vitality of the businesses and the families who make the Lowcountry thrive.”

This partnership will allow the Greater Bluffton Chamber to offer its members healthcare coverage through BlueCross. These members will have access to providers within the Beaufort Memorial system, including inpatient care and healthcare services received at Beaufort Memorial Hospital or its physician practices.

By partnering with the Greater Bluffton Chamber and BlueCross, Beaufort Memorial is bringing another innovative method of expanding its services to members of the community and meeting them where they are.

“When businesses have access to quality, affordable healthcare, they are better equipped to recruit and retain talent, support employee well-being and continue investing the communities they call home,” said Natalie Osterman, Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Bluffton Chamber. “A healthy workforce creates stronger businesses, and stronger businesses create stronger communities.”

Featured services through this partnership include preventive services such as annual physicals and exams, health screenings, routine immunizations and pharmaceutical support.

“BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is proud to collaborate with Beaufort Memorial and the Greater Bluffton Chamber to help small businesses connect their employees with affordable, quality health coverage close to home,” said Stephanie DeFreese, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. “Small businesses are the backbone of communities, and this partnership reflects our shared commitment to supporting their success and the health of the people who serve them every day.”
