Beaufort Memorial has announced longtime leader Kim Yawn as Vice President of Marketing and Development, expanding her leadership role within the organization.
Yawn, who has served as Associate Vice President and Chief Development Officer (CDO) for the Beaufort Memorial Foundation since 2022, will now also oversee the health system’s marketing team, leading development and marketing strategies that support the Beaufort Memorial mission of delivering patient-centered, compassionate and innovative care.
“Kim has been a forward-thinking, solutions-oriented leader in this organization for over a decade,” said Beaufort Memorial President and CEO Russell Baxley. “Her commitment to strategic planning and collaboration both within the organization and the greater community has made her a valuable part of the Beaufort Memorial leadership team.”
Since stepping into her role with the Foundation, Yawn has been a pivotal leader advancing fundraising and operational initiatives. She has worked with organization leadership, the Foundation board and donors within the community to secure strategic funding for projects that enhance patient care and expand healthcare services across the Lowcountry.
In her new role, Yawn will continue to guide the Foundation’s philanthropic efforts while providing executive oversight of marketing and communications processes, shaping strategic marketing priorities, strengthening the organization’s brand voice and directing public relations efforts.
Yawn joined Beaufort Memorial in 2009 and has held leadership roles across the organization, including Director of LifeFit Wellness Services.
Under her guidance, the Foundation has secured critical grant and donor support for transformative initiatives, such as the development of the Bluffton Community Hospital (opening in 2027), the Evaluation and Assessment Unit in the emergency room, the implementation of a virtual nursing program and more than $1 million in workforce development funding.
As Vice President of Marketing and Development, Yawn will continue to play a key role in advancing the organization’s growth, innovation and commitment to exceptional patient care.
