Get on the Big Red Bus and help save lives at the 20-year anniversary of a lifesaving partnership between Beaufort Memorial and OneBlood. All eligible donors are welcome to join a series of special blood drives at Beaufort Memorial locations Dec. 12 to Dec. 15.

As the sole provider of blood for patients at Beaufort Memorial, OneBlood has been a valuable partner for the hospital and community. Through the extraordinary efforts of community leaders, hospital administrators, OneBlood, blood donors and others, a consistent supply of blood is now available when needed.

OneBlood's signature Big Red Bus is a staple in the community, as is their donor center, located at 1001 Boundary Street in Beaufort. Thousands of donations have been collected over the years locally. Each donation helping give others a second chance at life.

“OneBlood’s partnership with Beaufort Memorial is truly a lifesaving mission,” said Susan Forbes, senior vice president of corporate communications and public relations . “OneBlood operates around the clock to make sure blood is available when and where it is needed. It's a team effort to save lives and our hero blood donors, are a crucial part of the team. Each donation helps ensure a ready blood supply for our hospital partners and their patients.”

Each donor will receive a OneBlood plush blanket; $20 eGift card; and a wellness checkup, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, iron count and cholesterol screening.
