The Lending Room

Located across Ribaut Road from Beaufort Memorial Hospital, The Lending Room helps provide better access to durable medical equipment for those who live in Beaufort County and surrounding areas. A 501(c)(3) organization that is considered a safety net partner, Beaufort Memorial provides The Lending Room in-kind rental of space on the Beaufort campus to better serve patients.

The Lending Room accepts and loans out gently-used durable medical equipment and other home healthcare items to any individual who has a need, short or long-term, regardless of income or insurance. A variety of equipment* is available such as:

• Walkers
• Rollators
• Bedside commodes
• Shower chairs
• Canes
• Crutches
• Wheelchairs (electric and manual)
• Braces
• Hospital beds
• Hoyer lifts
• Incontinence supplies

*Because items are donated from the community, the availability of items varies from day to day.
