Beaufort Memorial Foundation Launches 'Heart of Healing Program'

Program will bring local art to Bluffton Community Hospital. The Beaufort Memorial Foundation has announced the launch of its new "Heart of Healing" program, an arts-in-healthcare initiative designed to bring the restorative power of Lowcountry artwork and local arti into the new Bluffton Community Hospital.

Topping-Off Celebration for Bluffton Community Hospital

Construction on Bluffton's first hospital reach a major milestone as Beaufort Memorial marked the official "topping-off" of the new Beaufort Memorial Bluffton Community Hosp9tal, located at 10 Innovation Drive, at the intersection of Bluffton and Buckwalter Parkways.  

During the ceremony on December 4, hospital leaders, medical staff, project partners and community members signed the final steel beam before it was lifted into place, symbolizing the completion of the hospital's structural frame. Continue Article

Workforce housing for healthcare workers coming to Bluffton

Bluffton Town Council is moving forward with a new plan to tackle the need for additional healthcare and housing options in their area. 

At a special meeting Tuesday, they approved three new motions that will ultimately lead to the construction of 120 units of affordable housing for healthcare workers.  The multi-family units will be geared primarily toward those who come to work at the Beaufort Memorial facility being built off Buckwalter Parkway. Breaking Bluffton Ground: Beaufort Memorial Kicks Off Construction of Bluffton Community Hospital

Over 150 community members, government officials and Bluffton business leaders came out on a partly-cloudy May 7 to commemorate a shining milestone for Beaufort Memorial: the construction of the Bluffton Community Hospital. 

This 28-bed, $103 million facility located at 10 Innovation Drive (on the corner of Bluffton and Buckwalter Parkways) will feature a full-service emergency department, surgery center, cath lab, inpatient acute nursing unit and imaging services.  Read More or Watch Footage from the Event

Beaufort Memorial gets green light for hospital in Bluffton

Beaufort Memorial has reached a huge milestone in its expansion south of the Broad River, moving forward with the Bluffton Community Hospital (BCH), a medical facility formerly called the Bluffton Community Medical Campus (BCMC). 

On March 24., the South Carolina Department of Publi9c Heath (DPH) approved Beaufort Memorial's Certificate of Need (CON) to add 28 inpatient beds to the planned medical campus in Bluffton.  Read More
