A native of Beaufort, Dr. Trask has been in private practice in Beaufort since 2005. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN with a BA in English. His first years out of college were spent working and traveling in countries all over the world.
His adventures led him back to Beaufort in 1991, where he completed an EMT course and decided he wanted to pursue a life in medicine. He chose family medicine for his residency for its broad scope and holistic approach to healing. In 2004, he and his wife and daughter lived in New Zealand where he practiced family medicine near Wellington for the year. He is also board certified in Bariatric Medicine, pursuing an expertise in weight management that complements his advocacy for wellness in his patients. In 2011, he joined Beaufort Memorial's Beaufort Physician Partners.
Dr. Trask completed a South Carolina Rural Health Fellowship serving migrant farm workers on St. Helena Island, SC.
Dr. Trask is committed to the health and well being of each of his patients. He and his wife Evy have two children, Grace, age 9, and Sam, age 6.

As a Family Medicine specialist, Dr. Trask is trained to treat chronic medical conditions as well as acute illnesses, minor injuries including suturing and to provide wellness and preventive care.
