The Birthing Center
After Delivering
After delivery, you will spend your recovery
in your labor/delivery/recovery (LDR) room. If all is well
with your baby, your infant will stay in the delivery room
with you. A bath and medications are given to the baby in
the delivery room, and family members are allowed to assist
with the bath. Infants are then taken to the nursery
for hearing screens and daily pediatrician rounds. Infants
can be sent to the nursery at any time if request by the
patient.
