Patient & Visitor Information

What not to bring

While you’re a patient at BMH, we are responsible for your medical care. But, hospitals are busy, public places. With that in mind, there are some things that are best left at home.

  • Once your medications have been recorded, send them home. Everything you take while you’re in the hospital must be recorded in your medical chart, so we will provide all your medications. That includes aspirin and other over-the-counter products.
  • Credit cards and cash
  • Other valuables, such as diamond rings & watches

Electronic equipment, such as hair dryers or radios. If you must bring such equipment, ask to have them checked out for safety by the hospital’s engineering department.
