J. Chadwick Tober, MD, FACS joined the medical staff of Beaufort Memorial Hospital in 2004. He came to Beaufort from The Ohio State University Medical Center, where he spent ten years on the teaching faculty. During that time, he was associate professor for the Division of Vascular Surgery and medical director of the vascular lab.
Throughout his medical career, Dr. Tober's focus has been on vascular disease. As a resident, he did special research on it through a grant from the American Heart Association.
As the first full time vascular surgeon in Beaufort County, Dr. Tober has added a wide range of services to area patients. With the recent addition of endovenous laser treatments (EVLT), he offers a full spectrum of services to treat venous disease, as well as all vascular issues, including varicose veins.
Dr. Tober is skilled to treat a broad array of surgical and vascular needs, both major and minor. He also performs minimally invasive, endovascular and standard open vascular procedures. He is trained in the management of complex vascular wounds including the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
