BEAUFORT, SC - To better serve patients, Beaufort Memorial Bluffton Primary Care has added certified adult nurse practitioner Mary Ellen Groff to its team of medical professionals.
Groff will be joining board-certified internist Dr. Erik Baker and family medicine specialists Drs. Jonathan Hutchings, Roger Ulrich, and Robert Lisle at the primary care practice, located at Westbury Park in Bluffton.
In addition to over 30 years of experience as a nurse practitioner, Groff is also a certified diabetes educator and has a special interest in women’s health.
Most recently, she worked for the Rural Health Clinic at Coastal Carolina Hospital. Before moving to the Lowcountry in 2009, Groff worked 20 years with Metropolitan Medical Associates, an internal medicine and multi-specialty medical practice in Baltimore, Maryland.
She also held associate faculty positions at Johns Hopkins, the University of Maryland and the University of Delaware schools of nursing.
A graduate of the University of Maryland Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program and the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, Groff went on to receive additional training in Health Policy at the University of Maryland and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration from St. Joseph College in Maine.
